Case Study
THE FALCONS GROUP
Overview
The Falcons Group launched its franchising success with TGI Fridays and has since rapidly expanded to operating over 90 units across Checkers & Rally’s, Dunkin’ & Baskin-Robbins, and Qdoba. Within just two years of entering the Checkers & Rally’s system, the Falcons Group became the largest franchise in the brand.
Today, the Falcons Group operates across seven states, continuing to grow through strategic acquisitions and new store development. Each brand operates independently, with support and direction from corporate headquarters in Atlanta, all focused on streamlining operations and enhancing the customer experience.
UMS was introduced to the Falcons Group through a referral from a longtime client. After conducting a utility bill audit across the portfolio, UMS identified savings opportunities in 70% of the fast-food group’s accounts analyzed, handling all communication with the utilities directly to implement the cost reductions.
The audits uncovered an average annual savings of $3,779 per account, which quickly added up to six figures in actual savings experienced in under two years. Every dollar saved required no operational changes and no equipment upgrades, just a smarter rate and billing structure.
UMS continues to analyze the Falcons Group’s existing accounts and any new restaurant locations they acquire, ensuring their utility costs stay as lean as their operations.
"UMS has delivered exactly as promised. They have worked to analyze our accounts and to ensure that we are provided the best rates and savings for our commercial utilities."
